It's a very good thing that nowadays students in college pursuing any degree in education have to go through a class that teachers about using technology within our lesson plans.
I say this because if you haven't noticed already technology is the new era. All of our students are being raised in a world full of technology. Even communicating/socializing have done such a drastic change it's more technology that physical contact.
With that being said I believe it is very important that us as teachers allow our students to advance and prepare them for the outside world. Using technology in our classroom will help students understand us more and probably be more wanting to learn from us if they can relate.
This don't mean we stop using old school paper work completely but more like we use technology whenever we can so students have the ability to continue at home or in the future.
Ways teachers can emerge technology into their classrooms' would be:
- Having Centers where students rotate and some get to be on the computer or something with technology. Educational Soft wares and/or Educational Games.
- Allowing students to use technology to better their presentations
Why should teachers use technology ?
- Here's a video that gives many reasons why we as teachers should use technology, supporting technology in classrooms as a teacher this video gave me even more reasons in why i should continue supporting technology in classrooms.
